The Strategic Value Management and ESG Sustainability Development Research Center
【Features】
The Strategic Value Management and ESG Sustainability Development Research Center was established to promote research on strategic value management and ESG sustainability issues. It integrates the expertise and research resources of international management accounting organizations and incorporates the Activity Value Management (AVM) methodology. Through industry collaboration, the center aims to enhance education, strengthen research capabilities, and support business development and transformation.

Research Center for Economic Ethics
【Features】
The Research Center for Economic Ethics was established with the support of distinguished alumnus Mr. Ting-Chuan Chen, who graduated from Tamkang University’s Department of International Business (formerly known as the Department of International Trade) in 1969. Mr. Chen currently serves as the Honorary Chairman of Everlight Chemical Industrial Corporation and was honored with the Golden Eagle Award as an outstanding alumnus in 2010.
Since August 1, 2010, Mr. Chen has entrusted the department with organizing the Economic Ethics Forum, assembling a research team to collaboratively develop the theoretical foundations of economic ethics. Over the years, the forum has become a significant academic event. To further strengthen its impact, the Research Center for Economic Ethics was officially established on December 1, 2022. This center aims to enhance the university’s academic research capacity while fostering closer ties between alumni and the department, guiding Tamkang University toward excellence.
The center focuses on exploring the challenges posed by major global trends, such as individualization, the shift in lifestyle paradigms towards female-oriented models, aging societies, education, new employment models, health, new ecological concerns, digital networking, globalization, urbanization, and mobility. In the face of rapid development, achieving a balance with global changes and addressing inequalities are pressing issues for Asian countries and cities. These topics form the core research agenda of the center, which aspires to become a distinguished feature of Tamkang University.

Aging Society Welfare and Insurance Research Center

The Aging Society Welfare and Insurance Research Center was established in response to the challenges of an aging society. Its primary goal is to explore potential methods and policy recommendations for enhancing the welfare of elderly populations. Additionally, the center conducts in-depth research on the design, development, and marketing of insurance products tailored to aging societies.

The Center for Green Technology and Smart City was established to introduce sustainability-focused academic programs, enabling a comprehensive understanding of corporate sustainability. Additionally, the center integrates cross-disciplinary business management knowledge with artificial intelligence technologies to analyze global sustainability trends, interpret ESG frameworks and related regulations, and optimize corporate sustainability transitions and governance strategies.

Collaborative Governance Research Center
【Features】
Established and operated by the Department of Public Administration, the Collaborative Governance Research Center (CGRC) is guided by the slogan "Light of Data, Bridge of Collaboration." With data science as foundation, the center is dedicated to analyzing issues in collaborative governance between the public and private sectors and developing strategic solutions.
CGRC aims to build an interdisciplinary data science team that deeply understands the needs of both public and private sectors and effectively addresses these needs. Aligned with the university’s AI development initiatives, the center emphasizes data applications and actively fosters industry cooperation. Additionally, it is committed to establishing a secure and privacy-compliant data-sharing platform. Through data science education, CGRC seeks to enhance societal data literacy and promote the widespread application and advancement of data science.

【Features】
The Center for Business Internships and Industry–Academia Collaboration aims to enhance students' understanding of industry practices and expand opportunities for diverse corporate internships to reduce the gap between academic learning and practical application and to promote career development. It assists faculty and students in participating in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship competitions; supports entrepreneurship, applications for government programs, and company formation; and provides fundraising channels and opportunities. Additionally, it promotes cross-college collaboration by forming interdisciplinary teams with industry experts to strengthen industry–academia cooperation.
